Roadway Project Engineer
Location: Orlando, Tampa, West Palm Beach, FL
Salary range: $130-170K

The role:
You'll be joining a dynamic team as a Roadway Project Engineer and be part of shaping the future of transportation infrastructure. In this role, you will play a vital part in designing transportation facilities, contributing to projects that enhance connectivity and improve traffic flow in multiple FDOT districts and working with local municipalities/counties. You'll be involved in a variety of projects, such as capacity expansions, interchange optimizations, and pavement designs.

The ideal candidate:
Demonstrable experience on FDOT projects
Florida PE license or the ability to obtain within 6 months
Responsibilities:
Develop roadway geometrics and prepare detailed plans for the construction of safe and efficient roadways and highways based on applicable design criteria and specifications
Prepare engineering reports and contract documents
Oversee the completion and accuracy of work performed by EIT’s and Designers and serve as Deputy Project Manager on assigned projects
Potentially serve as the Engineer-of-Record on minor projects
Provide engineering support for projects in construction
Communicate effectively with internal team members, subconsultants, and clients
Develop and present design solutions during internal project meetings and participate in external meetings with clients
Assist with the development of marketing and project pursuit materials
