Water Resources Engineer
Location – FL (Miami, Fort Lauderdale)
Salaries range from $100k–$150k plus 401k, Health Insurance, Vacation, PTO and Bonus scheme.

A leading multidisciplinary water resources team working to address the most pressing environmental and stormwater challenges in South Florida. Their mission is to deliver sustainable, innovative engineering solutions that preserve natural ecosystems while protecting communities from the effects of flooding, sea level rise, and storm surges.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage water resources projects focused on stormwater management, flood control, and hydrologic and hydraulic modeling.
Conduct advanced hydraulic analyses to assess watershed characteristics, conveyance capacities, and infrastructure vulnerabilities.
Analyze joint probabilities of rainfall, storm surge, and sea level rise to evaluate future risk and damages.
Coordinate modeling outputs, develop performance metrics, and generate spatial and temporal summaries and maps.
Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies and contractors.
Manage project timelines, deliverables, and budgets, while ensuring QA/QC procedures are followed.
Develop scopes of work and oversee modeling studies using tools such as HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, SWMM, MIKE-SHE, and MIKE-Hydro.
Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentation materials.
Support proposal development and contribute to business growth in the water resources sector.
The successful candidate must have/show:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Water Resources, or related Engineering discipline; Master’s or PhD preferred.
8+ years of relevant experience (or 6 years with Master’s, 4 with PhD) in water resources engineering and project management.
State of Florida PE license (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
Strong technical proficiency in modeling software (HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, SWMM, MIKE series).
Experience with ArcGIS and spatial analysis.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proven ability to work on interdisciplinary teams and manage multiple concurrent projects.
Demonstrated success in delivering projects within scope, budget, and schedule.
