Project Manager - Electrical Estimator

Location: Rosedale, MD

Salary: $45k – $60k per hour plus 401k, Health Insurance, Vacation, PTO, and Bonus scheme

The company delivers comprehensive engineering, maintenance, repair, and repowering solutions, ensuring seamless operation of wireless and wireline telecom, commercial and utility-scale solar and wind projects, EV charging stations, and large-scale power generation, critical power, and energy storage assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze bid documents, drawings, and specifications.

  • Perform detailed electrical take-offs and prepare labor, material, and equipment cost estimates.

  • Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate vendor and subcontractor pricing.

  • Develop value engineering options and cost-saving alternatives.

  • Prepare and present professional bid proposals to management and clients.

  • Manage awarded projects from kickoff through closeout, including budgeting, scheduling, and cost tracking.

  • Collaborate with engineers, procurement, and field teams to ensure constructability and scope accuracy.

  • Track project budgets, process change orders, and support invoice approvals.

  • Maintain strong client relationships by proactively communicating and resolving issues.

  • Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, and local codes on all projects.

Required Qualifications / Experience:

  • Minimum 5+ years of electrical estimating experience, preferably in commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects

  • Journeyman or Master Electrician license (state-dependent)

  • Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) is a plus

  • Proficiency with estimating tools (e.g., EBM, Accubid, Trimble, ConEst, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Excel)

  • Strong understanding of power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and scopes of work

  • Knowledge of electrical installation, contract documents, project estimates, construction, and maintenance specifications

  • Excellent communication, networking, and analytical skills

  • Self-motivated and able to operate independently in a high-growth environment

  • Customer service experience and previous customer-facing roles preferred

Work Environment / Physical Requirements:

  • Comply with OSHA safety standards

  • Occasional weekend or after-hours work may be required

  • Travel up to 15% may be required depending on project needs
