Mid-Level Engineer – Water Infrastructure

Richmond, VA

Salaries range from $95K–$125K plus 401k, Health Insurance, Vacation, PTO and Bonus scheme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate complex phases of water infrastructure projects from concept through completion
  • Deliver high-quality engineering solutions in water and wastewater treatment design
  • Provide technical oversight and mentorship to junior engineering staff
  • Conduct detailed engineering analysis, design calculations, and report preparation
  • Review project deliverables for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with standards
  • Identify design improvements and recommend technical enhancements to boost efficiency and performance
  • Apply engineering software tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and related modeling platforms
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and interface with project managers to meet deadlines and objectives

 

The successful candidate must have/show:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
  • A current Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • At least 4 years of experience in water/wastewater infrastructure design
  • Strong command of engineering principles with hands-on experience applying industry standards
  • Proficiency in design software and modeling tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit)
  • Familiarity with QA/QC processes and regulatory requirements relevant to engineering practice
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders
  • Proven leadership ability and a collaborative work ethic
  • Competence with MS Office Suite
  • Membership or involvement in a professional engineering organization (preferred)
  • A valid driver’s license
