Lead UPS Field Service Technician

A long-standing leader in the critical power industry, serving commercial and mission-critical clients across New England. With over three decades of reliability, technical excellence, and customer service, they specialize in UPS systems, battery plants, and power distribution gear.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on UPS systems, batteries, and power distribution equipment.
• Execute initial power-up, calibration, and operational verification for new installations.
• Diagnose and repair down to the component level, minimizing downtime in mission-critical environments.
• Coordinate on-site activities, manage small installation teams, and ensure safety compliance.
• Communicate findings clearly, provide system education, and recommend proactive solutions.
• Complete field reports, service tickets, and expense documentation accurately and on time.
• Support and train junior technicians, fostering a culture of quality and accountability.
• Identify potential upgrade opportunities and relay them to sales and engineering teams.
The successful candidate must have/show:
• Experience servicing UPS systems or other critical power equipment.
• Solid foundation in electronics, electrical systems, or power distribution, through formal training or equivalent experience.
• Comfort working independently in the field and making sound technical decisions under pressure.
• Ability to travel throughout New England and flexibility with schedule and on-call demands.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
