Lead Process Engineer – Wastewater
Location – Greenville, South Carolina
Salaries range from $180k–$200k plus 401k, Health Insurance, Vacation, PTO and Bonus scheme.
Our Client:
• A leading engineering consultancy with a growing Water Design Center specializing in complex, high-volume water and wastewater treatment plant projects across the eastern U.S.
• Provides a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment with a focus on technical excellence, mentorship, and long-term project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage a team of process engineers delivering innovative water and wastewater treatment solutions.
• Support business development with treatment-related expertise and proposal development.
• Develop conceptual and detailed designs for treatment systems, including plans, specifications, and design calculations.
• Coordinate with mechanical and other discipline teams for integrated project delivery.
• Oversee project schedules, budgets, QA/QC, and client coordination.
• Mentor team members, recruit new talent, and drive process standardization and training.
• Attend client meetings, conferences, and industry events as a subject matter expert.
The successful candidate must have/show:
• Master’s Degree in Civil, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or eligibility for licensure.
• 10+ years of municipal water/wastewater process design experience.
• 2+ years of experience leading design teams.
• Proficiency in process modeling software such as GPS-X, BioWin, or Sumo.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to travel for site visits, client meetings, and conferences.
