Estimator T&D - Construction 

Location – REMOTE (North East based - Pennsylvania across and upwards) 

Salaries range from $115k - $130k plus, 401k, Health Insurance, Vacation, PTO and Bonus Schemes

 

Our Client:

  • Our client is just over 3 years old and HQ in Oklahoma, and they have seen huge success being part of storm duties on the IBEW which has helped develop and grow the business. Fully remote company, with the plan to have regional offices in the future (already have some premises across the US) Our client seen huge success being part of storm duties on the IBEW which has helped develop and grow the business and are starting to win construction day work across T&D and Substation, with a focus being put on building their transmission arm of the business.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop accurate cost estimates for substation projects including AIS (Air Insulated Switchgear), GIS (Gas Insulated Switchgear), and battery energy storage systems 
  • Analyze technical specifications and project requirements to determine material quantities, labor hours, and equipment needs for various voltage levels (typically 44 KV up to 550 KV)
  • Coordinate with engineering departments to ensure constructability and compliance with technical requirements for both greenfield and brownfield substation projects
  • Prepare comprehensive bid packages and proposals that highlight competitive advantages while maintaining project profitability
  • Support project managers with budget tracking, cost control, and schedule development throughout the project lifecycle

 

The successful candidate must have/show:

  • Technical knowledge of substation equipment including breakers, transformers, arresters, bus transformers, steel structures, and other components used in T&D substations
  • 4+ years in T&D and/or Substation Estimating
  • Experience with industry-standard software tools such as MS Project, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Suite for developing and presenting estimates
